British boy band EAST 17 have announced their split - just months after reforming for a comeback London gig and album. BRIAN HARVEY and fellow band members JOHN HENDY, TERRY COLDWELL and TONY MORTIMER re-grouped in May (06) for a one-off gig after a nine year break from the industry. The STAY ANOTHER DAY hitmakers hope to capitalise on the publicity it generated to star in a documentary about the 1990s band and release a new album. However, tensions within the group have scuppered any further plans together after Mortimer was ousted following a fight with Harvey. Hendy says, "I don't think Tony's heart was in it really. There was too much of an ego clash between him and Brian."
25/08/2006 07:25 Les membres du groupe anglais East 17, boys band des années '90 récemment ressuscité, viennent d'annoncer qu'ils se séparaient, quelques mois seulement après avoir reformé le groupe pour donner un concert unique à Londres et réaliser un nouvel album. Brian Harvey et les autres membres du groupe, John Hendy, Terry Coldwell et Tony Mortimer, avaient reformé le groupe East 17 en mai dernier pour un concert unique à Londres, neuf ans après avoir quitté la scène. Les chanteurs espéraient profiter de la publicité générée par le concert pour participer à un documentaire sur le groupe et réaliser un nouvel album.
