Après quelques mésaventures (Théo est passé par une porte nommée « exit » dans un sens interdit, nous repassons au contrôle sécurité qui comprend cette fois une fouille d’un de mes sacs), nous rencontrons la gentillesse des finlandais. Aurions-nous trouvé notre hôtel sans eux ? Nul ne le sait... D’abord dans le bus aéroport - centre ville, un finlandais accompagnant son ami français nous indique dans un français parfait l’arrêt de tram où s'arrêter, en passant par la gare que n’aurons donc pas à chercher le lendemain. Certains nous renseignent, une jeune fille à la question « Sorry, do you speak english ? » répond « Oui, et français aussi », d'autres nous aident a monter nos bagages dans le tram aui comportent deux marches hautes. Enfin, une passagère du tram, ayant entendu notre conversation, nous montre le bon arrêt auquel s’arrêter et nous accompagne jusqu’à la réception de l’auberge de jeunesse. Pour un premier contact avec la population finlandaise, on peut faire pire !

After some misfortunes (Théo passed trough a door named "Exit" in a prohibited sense, we past again to the control security which consists of this time a search in one of my bags), we meet the kindness of the Finnish. Would we have found our hotel without them ? No one knows it... First in the bus airport-town centre,  a finnish accompanying his french friend points out to us in improved French where we had to stop, by way of the train station which therefore we shall not have to search the following day. Some people give information to us, a girl to the question « Sorry, do you speak english ? answers "Oui, et français aussi" (Yes, and french also), others help us take up our baggages in the tram wich has two high steps. Finally, a passenger of the tram, having heard our dialogue, shows us the right tram stop and accompanies us up until the reception of the hostel. For a first contact with the finnish population, it could be worse !

Oui il ne fait pas très beau, une couche de nuages compacte couvre le ciel, mais la photo amplifie le phénomène quand même ! Yes the weaver is not very nice, a compact coat of clouds covers the sky, but the photo amplifies the phenomenon really!

C’est donc sans trop de difficultés que nous retrouvons la gare le lendemain, pour prendre le train Helsinki - Joensuu. On a peu de nourriture dans le ventre, il faut dire qu’ici tout est cher, on peut noter par exemple que les toilettes publiques sont quand même à 1€... Suivent 5 heures de train durant lesquelles Emilie, assise à côté d’un mi-espagnol mi-arabe résidant en Finlande - logique - a déjà l’occasion de converser en anglais, ce qui me rend très jalouse ! On est accueillis à la gare de Joensuu par nos tuteurs respectifs, les échanges de photos ayant été utiles car nous les reconnaissons tout de suite. On sent la différence d’avec Helsinki, où avec nos déplacements et nos gros manteaux nous avions trop chaud, ici nous sommes plus au Nord et la température est de 13 degrés. Arrivée en taxi chez Peipei, une amie de Min qui était ici l’année précédente, qui nous laisse sa chambre pour une nuit.

So it is without too much difficulties that we find the railway station the following day, to take the train Helsinki-Joensuu. We have not much of food in the belly, it is necessary to say that here everything is expensive, we can note for example that you must pay 1€ for the public toilets... Follow 5 hours in the train during which Emilie, sat next to a half-Arab half-Spanish living in Finland - logic - has already an opportunity to converse in English, what makes me very jealous ! We are received  at the train station of Joensuu by our respective tutors, exchanges of photos having been useful because we reconize them in the instant. We feel the difference with Helsinki, where with our displacements and our big coats we were too much warm, here we are more in the North and the temperature is 13 degrees. Arrival in taxi to Peipei's flat, a friend of Min who was the previous year here, who leaves us her room for the night.
