Hugs to all my internet friends who sent me some beautiful birthday cards and left me some love on this special day: I never had so much people to a no-party birthday!
And huge hugs to the special friends who sent me gift certificates and arranged the surprise for me: I've made some shopping last evening and this morning again... Je travaille pour l'instant à ma page pour le premier challenge de l'Amazing DigiScrap Race et ce n'est pas toujours si facile avec un thème imposé... Ma partenaire, Sonia, a déjà fait une très belle page et comme elle a choisi le Louvre comme musée j'espère avoir l'occasion un jour de lui servir de guide ici à Paris !
Je vais prendre le temps d'une pause détente et vous présenter mes dernières pages et les derniers embellissements proposés par Nina. I am still working on the layout for the first challenge of the Amazing DigiScrap Race and that's not that easy to scrap on a given subject, even if this is an interesting one... My dear partner Sonia has already done her layout, a beautiful one about the Louvre. I hope I will have the pleasure to be her guide when she comes in Paris! Je continue ma série de pages pour mon album de famille avec les ancêtres du côté maternel. Cette fois-ci une cousine de mon grand-père, Marie-Louise. Etant donné qu'elle est née en 1895 et qu'elle a encore l'air assez jeune sur la photo, je dirais bien qu'elle a aux alentours de 25 ans. S'il y a des spécialistes du costume qui arrivent à dater la toilette, laissez-moi un message !
J'ai présenté cette page pour le challenge du 9 juillet "Cluster" sur le forum The Shaker Box . Le kit utilisé est Gentle Spring par Nina (chez Oscraps et Ndisb ). She was born in 1895 and looks quite young on this photo, so I would say she's prolly around 25yo... This is my layout for the July cluster challenge at The Shaker Box . En me connectant tout à l'heure sur Digishoptalk , j'ai remarqué que j'avais un message qui attendait depuis 3 jours que je le lise...
Bon, je vais voir qui m'écrit : Cori Grammon . Je ne la connais pas personnellement et j'ouvre donc avec une certaine curiosité et... découvre que Cori me fait cadeau de son GRABBAG de juillet chez The Digishoppe, comme ça, sans raison particulière. C'est ce que nos amies anglosaxonnes appelent le RAK, Random Act of Kindness, en français, un simple geste de générosité. Je reviens donc de la boutique de Cori où j'ai téléchargé son Grabbag. Il est énorme, 125 fichiers et je viens juste de les ouvrir et je peux vous dire que... SUPER !! J'ai maintenant plein d'embellissements pour mes pages... Je suis la plus heureuse des veinardes !  When I logged on at Digishoptalk this afternoon, I finally noticed I had a personal message in my inbox waiting since 3 days that I read it. I am not used to receiving PM at this site so I quite rushed to see who has written to me! The message is from Cori Grammon . I don't know her personaly, just know the name. I read her mail and... I am totally stunned by her kindness: she just sent me a discount coupon so that I can grab her July GRABBAG for free at the Digishoppe! It's what you call a RAK (random act of kindness) and I am very touched by the intent, especially from someone I didn't know more than a designer name. I still can't realize but I must say you that this is a very huge Grabbag, 125 files and as I am looking at its content right now I just can say: WOW!!   Les Fluro Scrappers , c'est le nom de l'équipe que Sonia et moi avons formée pour participer à la deuxième édition de The Amazing Digi Scrapping Race . Il s'agit d'une "course" de scrap qui durera 6 semaines pendant lesquelles nous devons participer aux challenges organisés par les différents sites et boutiques de scrap qui participent au jeu. C'est l'occasion de faire plein de pages et sur des thèmes ou couleurs nouvelles, d'apprendre à mieux connaître sa partenaire et aussi, bien sûr de gagner des kits, éléments, coupons... Et le mot d'ordre est bien sûr de s'amuser. Nous avons notre blog exprès pour la course, c'est Sonia qui s'en est occupé et elle a fait un superbe travail, j'adore notre bannière et nos personnages ! Notre credo: Everybody needs colour! et notre chanson : "We can't be beaten" par les Jet. Et bien sûr nous avons notre blinkie. Vous pourrez suivre notre évolution dans la course sur notre blog, et vous pouvez d'ores et déjà nous y laisser vos encouragements !! La course commencera le 16 juillet et vous avez encore jusqu'au 10 juillet pour vous inscrire ici .  The Fluro Scrappers : this is the name of our team, Sonia and I, formed for the 2nd Amazing Digi Scrapping Race . It's a scrap race running on 6 weeks during which we have to make some LOs for the challenges organized by the different partners of the game. This is a great time to make a lot of layouts, with some colors or onsome themes you're not used to, a great way to get to know better your team partner, and also a great occasion to win some kits, embellies or coupons... And of course, the word for it is to have fun. We have a blog for the race: Sonia did the job and she designed a beautiful blogbanner and some great avatars! Our motto: Everybody needs colour! and we also have our song: "We can't be beaten" by the Jet. And we have a great blinkie. Well now you've got all the info to follow our progression in the race on our blog, and you can already start leaving some love and great words of encouragement there! Cela fait déjà 2 semaines que je suis allée passer un week-end du côté de Tours chez mes cousins.
L'occasion idéale pour aller faire une grande visite au magnifique zoo de Beauval et d'admirer les bébés chimpanzés et le bébé gorille, les tigres, lions et kangourous blancs, les manchots... It's been already 2 weeks since I went near Tours to visit my cousins over the week-end. A great occasion to visit the stunning zoo of Beauval and to see the babies: chimpanzes and gorilla, peer at the white tigers, lions and kangaroos, the penguins... Le temps étant clément, nous avons pu aller pique-niquer près de Blois. L'occasion pour ma filleule de me cueillir l'unique fraise sauvage présente sur ce rocher... (elle est adorable, n'est-ce pas ?) The weather allowed us to have a picnic near Blois. My goddaughter just pick the only berry availble on this rock for me... (she's so adorable, isn't she?) Tout en mangeant nos sandwiches, nous observions attentivement son frère Alexandre. Il faisait sa première escalade en plein air pour son dernier entrainement avant les vacances d'été. C'était vraiment un spectacle impressionnant et il s'est bien éclaté ! (son père aussi...) While eating our sandwiches, we took a look at her brother Alexandre. He was having his ever first outdoor climbing for his last training before the summer vacation. It really was a stunning show and he had the time of his life! (as did his father...) Entre mon nouveau travail et ma participation dans les équipes créatives de Rikki, AmyW. et invitée dans l'équipe de Nina, j'ai un peu de mal à trouver du temps pour moi, mon scrap et mes amis. Comme je n'aime pas faire les choses à moitié, j'ai décidé de quitter l'équipe créative d'Amy. Ce n'est pas une décision facile, mais vous savez tous que l'on doit parfois faire des choix dans la vie de tous les jours.
En tout cas, un grand merci à Amy de m'avoir accueillie dans son équipe ces derniers mois, et je lui souhaite une longue et heureuse continuation dans sa nouvelle boutique DigibyDesign. Et pensez à surveiller son blog , elle pourrait bien avoir besoin de vous prochainement... Here are her last "Make a Splash" templates you can find in the shop  Starting a new job and being in the CTs of Rikki, Amy and Guest Ct of Nina, I hardly find the time for me, scrapping and my friends. As I dislike being half involved in things, I have decided to slow down and to canceal my job with Amy. It was not a very easy decision to take but you are all aware that sometimes choices have to be done. I would like to tell a big THANK YOU to Amy for letting me be a member of her CT these last months. I wish her a long and happy creative future at her new DigibyDesign shop. Rikki vient de sortir un minikit nature "Go Fish " dans de superbes tons bleus et verts, assorti au kit Green and Lucky Blues ...
Egalement un superbe pack de papiers d'aspect détrempé dans des couleurs pastels : Delectable Dots . Quelques mots en français façon grunge : French Caption Grunge .
